Stacey Buzicky updated her profile with a reference to all of us hitting 40 this year.

How is everyone else handling it?

As for me, I will hit 40 in August. I'm ok with it, except when my wife told some new aquaintences in a bar last week that I was ALREADY 40! I got totally defensive and corrected her! So maybe I'm not as ok with it as I thought? ;~) At least I'm not sensing any sort of "mid-life-crisis" coming on, though!

And I find a lot of joy in things like outrunning all of the 18-19 year old future Marines in The Citadel's NROTC program. Stacey is definitely onto something with getting or staying in shape.

I'm already retired now...so that makes me feel a bit older. I remind my 20 year old daughter quite often that I'm NOT in a rush to become a grandparent!

But ultimately, life is good. I live 5 minutes from the beach here in Charleston, SC. I am loving being a "normal" person again after 21 years in the military.

Anyway...thanks for reminding us of our impending "old age" Stacey!
